Blimp
We have started discussion on making a hydrogen powered blimp.
- Remote controlled
- Can handle a webcam
- autonomous
- Ideally it will generate hydrogen on the fly, refilling the balloon and using the hydrogen to control it (jet powered by hydrogen sounds like it has potential)
- GPSr are on board, potentially also APRS (ham radio transmitting GPS data; one purpose could be to try and keep the blimp in a certain area)
- open source helicopter
- check with Transport Canada about their rules around air space usage
- determine virtual reality engine to use
Virtual Reality
We would like to remotely control the blimp, while viewing from the camera onboard the blimp. This provides us the opportunity as well to create a virtual reality.
